Origin of olive trees and main varieties in Chile

Olive trees are native to the Mediterranean region and have been cultivated for thousands of years in countries such as Greece, Italy and Spain. From there, they spread to other parts of the Mediterranean region and today they are also cultivated in South America, North America and other countries around the world.
